So there were prehistoric flying mammals, thanks, NYT for the update. Is there really any evidence they looked this damn scary? The artist's rendering is obviously trying to communicate the following: "Flying mammals are not funny, aren't you glad the creepy fuckers are dead?"

I wonder if this guy was bitten by a bat or a flying squirrel when he was a kid. If you are the artist or know him/her, please drop me a line and explain what's wrong with you.
